We provide several kinds of retail support programs for member companies, to increase their sales, efficiency and profit.
Education & Training : CGC JAPAN offers training programs for several levels of executives and employees. Those include several kinds of store manager training courses, various kinds of department manager training courses and checker training programs. Those programs are conducted always with an emphasis on practical knowledge and experience. Not only do students learn new skills in classrooms but also in the stores and on the job. One of the CGC's unique training programs is its sanitation course for sales floor staff and management, guaranteeing proper conditions always prevail in both sales floor and backroom working areas for perishable goods. The instructor of this course is an expert in the practices and education of people in how to clean and sanitize not only sales floors but also work and storage surfaces, tools and machines at busy job sites.

Consulting services: We provide consulting services by specialists in all fields of supermarket operations and merchandising. We often give members practical advice and guidance in the field. We design stores and create innovative and efficient floor plans, using the expertise of both our staff and the staff of our subsidiaries.

Publications: We have strong publishing programs for both members and consumers;
CGC Newspaper: We publish "CGC News" once a month for members and their employees to enhance mutual communication. It carries numerous merchandising success stories, sales promotions, and news of affiliate operations and CGC JAPAN programs as well as new store openings.
Monthly Booklets for Consumers: We publish booklets, once a month, which give useful information to consumers on dietary habits once a month. These booklets are distributed customers through affiliated member stores

Information Technology: In any industry, advanced information technology is an essential tool to survive in a fast changing and competitive environment. In the grocery business, that is especially true. CGC JAPAN is always improving and developing retail computer systems collaborating with SB Systems Co. ( a subsidiary of CGC JAPAN). CGC JAPAN members are able to access state of the art information technology at the lowest possible cost. CGC JAPAN provides affiliate with the most advanced EOS ordering system through which members can place orders to any product sources including local venders. The following are some examples of information systems which are available from CGC JAPAN;
Standard Headquarter Management Systems for Supermarkets: A package of Accounting Systems and Merchandise Control Systems including EOS and POS with relating systems which are essential in running supermarket chains.
File Maintenance on the Web: Contracted members are able to access our product database on the web accessing the Standard Master File Center of CGC JAPAN, from which they can immediately obtain information on new products and write or change their own product master file with the least effort.
POS Data Analysis and Utilization: Contracted members can access Store Operation Information Systems on the Web which enable them to utilize POS data in various custom tailored ways for its analysis and utilization needs not only to maximize sales and profit, but also to help make consumer data more useful.
